IMPACT OF INVESTMENT ARBITRATIONS AGAINST THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC ON ARBITRATIONS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Arbitration proceedings led by shareholders of public health insurance companies in the Slovak Republic caused significant changes affecting investment arbitration proceedings throughout the European Union. The aim of the article is to analyze the process which lead towards the current state of law, the impact which these arbitrations had on arbitration proceedings and what further development can be expected in this context.
