Abstract

Many of the findings in LazinĀ“s study of the Soviet Jewry movement in the us are relevant for understanding American Jews today as an ethnic group and as individual actors in the American political system. In the struggle for Soviet Jewry in the Unites States, Israel used American Jews to further its own interests within the American political system.
